A conversation overheard today in the car....
GRACIE: Soph, when you grow up, do you want to be a mommy or a part of the community? (Community....I think that's a word you learn in Kindergarten, right?)
SOPHIE: I want to be Cinderella.
GRACIE: No, Sophie, you can be a mommy or a part of the community.
SOPHIE: I want to be Cinderella.
GRACIE: Aie, Yie, Yie.

Bear Lake
Tim Garlock Reunion '08
Bear Lake, UT
Aside from the FREEZING temperatures, our bear lake reunion was great fun. Here is a little poem about the event...
Our first day was a Sunday, we arrived a little late. So croquet was the game of choice to keep us from the lake.
A treasure hunt was devised for the girls to have some fun. Who knew that the dollar store could produce excitement by the ton?
The promise of a day in the sand was reduced to a minute or two....
The wind was blowing, the rain had fallen, but our sandcastle stuck together like glue.
We concluded the weekend with a trip to the Quick n' Tasty. The raspberry shakes were amazing, and our stay was not too hasty (that's a stretch).
The Garlock reunion was a success, due to lots of family travel.
From Oregon to the Caribbean, our family ties didn't unravel.
We ate lots of treats and played lots of 'scum'
Mary reminded us often the 'king' she had become.
Our three pregnant mommies slept the best that they could,
Matt's back hurt so bad that he mostly just stood.
Mary's foot was still broken, she still has her boot,
But even with all the infirmities, our trip was a hoot.
The memories made will last until next time,
Where our fun in the sun will be just as sublime.
Happy 60th Anniversary to Grandma and Grandpa Walton!
That's right...60 years! We celebrated the event with a get together at the Lion House, a "fancy rester-naut" with "fancy bathrooms" (as my girls called it). The G.G. Waltons were so cute, still in love after 60 years of marriage. They even did a little dance for us all that they had practiced. We love you!
Sophie, who was enjoying the company as much as the "fancy food".
Gracie, who was so happy to be reunited with her Grandma.
